Appointment Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Your appointment time slot is reserved exclusively for you. Please arrive promptly to ensure you receive your full session.

  • Cancellations/Reschedules made between 48-24 hours prior to your appointment time will be eligible for a 50% refund.
  • Cancellations/Reschedules made less than 24 hours prior to your appointment time will forfeit a refund.
  • A maximum of two consecutive cancellations/reschedules is allowed under these terms. After the second cancellation/reschedule, no further rescheduling will be permitted, and any fees paid will be forfeited.
  • Non-attendance at an appointment will forfeit a refund.
  • In the event of a lockdown or personal quarantine, all sessions will be diverted to telehealth sessions via Zoom. You will receive a Zoom link via email prior to your scheduled appointment. Cancellation and rescheduling terms remain as stated above.

Therapy Disclaimer

By booking or attending therapy sessions with Danielle Paphitis, you acknowledge the following:

  1. The therapeutic methods used are not a substitute for psychiatric treatment. These methods are a conditioning process aimed at helping you utilize your own abilities for your wellbeing.
  2. Danielle Paphitis does not prescribe medications or diagnose any conditions.
  3. You have the right to terminate therapy sessions at any time and agree to participate to the best of your ability.
  4. You have accurately provided all background information requested by the therapist.
  5. Should your mental health situation require more intensive treatment, the therapist will suggest seeking additional psychiatric treatment, which will be documented.
  6. Success in therapy depends on your efforts, and no guarantees are made as to specific outcomes or progress.
  7. You give permission for sessions to be recorded if necessary, and you affirm that the information provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

Therapy Confidentiality

Your privacy and confidentiality are respected in all sessions. Confidentiality will only be breached under the following circumstances:

  • You give explicit permission to share information with an individual or agency.
  • There is a reason to suspect child abuse or imminent danger to yourself or others.
  • Therapy records are subpoenaed by a court of law.
  • The therapist may consult with colleagues, ensuring that client identities remain confidential.

For minors under the age of 18, written parental/guardian consent is required for therapy sessions. For optimal results, parents/guardians are encouraged not to be present during the sessions.

What You Can Expect from Me

As a client of Danielle Paphitis, you can expect the following:

  • I will be on time for scheduled appointments.
  • I will focus on you during our sessions with full professionalism.
  • I will provide a respectful, safe, and confidential environment.
  • I am committed to speaking clearly, avoiding jargon, and explaining anything you do not understand.
  • I will assist in guiding you to access your internal resources for healing, growth, and wellbeing.

Refund Policy for Online Therapy Programs

We want you to have a positive experience with our online therapy programs. However, if you are not satisfied, refunds are available under the following conditions:

  • Refunds are available within 7 days of purchase, provided that no more than 20% of the program content has been accessed.
  • If you have accessed more than 20% of the course materials (including videos, lessons, and resources), you will no longer be eligible for a refund.
  • Downloadable materials (e.g., worksheets, guides) included in the program are non-refundable once accessed.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact us at hello@daniellepaphitis.com with the following information:

  • Your full name and email used at the time of purchase
  • The name of the program purchased
  • The reason for your refund request

Refund requests will be reviewed and processed within 7-10 business days of receipt. Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method.

Payment Plan Refunds

Refunds are only available for full payments. If you have chosen a payment plan, we do not offer refunds for partial payments already made.

Non-Refundable Programs

  • Programs purchased at a discounted rate or through promotional offers are non-refundable.
  • Custom therapy programs or personalized services are not eligible for a refund.

Exceptions

In exceptional circumstances (such as medical emergencies or technical issues preventing access to the course), we may offer a refund outside of these conditions. Please contact us at hello@daniellepaphitis.com to discuss any special circumstances.
