It’s easy to be put off by the idea of starting a small business. Pragmatism and the status quo tell us that we’ll be setting ourselves up to fail. That we don’t have the same resources or the customer base that large corporations have. But that doesn’t mean we can’t follow our dreams and find purpose in our work life. The world is changing. Digital technology and an anti-corporate sentiment have inspired individuals to take their future into their own hands. They’re making a profit, and it’s possible to do so right away with little to no overhead costs.
